The Global Wellness Institute defines wellness as the active pursuit of activities, choices and lifestyles that lead to a state of holistic health.

Wellness is not a passive or static state but rather an “active pursuit” that is associated with intentions, choices and actions as we work toward an optimal state of health and wellbeing.

Center Stage Athletics Coaching is thrilled to introduce it's new wellness workshop series - "ThinkFIT - Wellness Between the Ears" . Change is hard, especially when we are attempting to achieve wellness in an unwell world. In this series we will focus on how adjusting the narrative around your wellness goals and having clear focus can be the key to lasting change. Join us for our series of four virtual wellness workshops. Register for all four or just one.

A Zoom link will be sent to registered participants 24 hrs prior to the event. Participants must register in advance.

Workshops will be 60 min each. 45 min of active presentation and discussion and 15 min of Q&A. Tools and worksheets will be provided.

INTRO TO THE ELEMENTS OF WELLNESS

In this workshop we will discuss all the elements of wellness and how they work together synergistically. Tools and exercises are provided to help you identify where you have areas of weakness and discuss why it's so hard to make lasting changes. 

  • What wellness is and is not and why you should care
  • Elements of wellness and how they work together synergistically
  • How to identify areas of wellness that need optimization
  • Why changing is so hard - neuroscience of comfort and change
  • Goal setting and prioritization for lasting change

MASTERING PHYSICAL WELLNESS 

In this workshop we will continue the discussion of how all the elements of wellness work together and focus on the critical aspects of physical health and wellness. Topics discussed will include:

  • Sleep hygiene
  • Stress and it's impact on physical health
  • Gut health
  • Nutrition basics
  • Movement as medicine
  • Weight loss for wellness

THE MINDBODY WELLNESS CONNECTION 

In this workshop we will continue the discussion of how all the elements of wellness work together and focus on the Mindbody connection (the physical and mental relationship) and how it relates to your overall health and wellness. Topics discussed will include:

  • Your brain is your biggest muscle
  • Stress management and it's impact on mental health
  • Mastering your mind and your narrative
  • Mindfulness
  • Meditation

WELLNESS FOR LIFE PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER 

This final workshop will be a round table discussion and open Q&A format. We invite participants to share their experience with wellness, challenges, goal setting, and what has worked or not worked for them. We will work to address real-life challenges and problem solving to help participants achieve wellness at any phase of life.
